TABS Membership

We welcome you to join the Texas Association for Bariatric Surgery (TABS).

The criteria for Surgeons are:

  1. must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas,
  2. must be board certified,
  3. an active member of the ASMBS, and
  4. regularly perform bariatric surgery in the state of Texas or a retired bariatric surgeon.

The criteria for Allied Health are:

  1. must be licensed by the appropriate state agency for the health care field practice,
  2. health care member in a bariatric program in Texas,
  3. should be a health care team member without a license in a bariatric program with a TABS surgeon member, and
  4. an active member of the ASMBS.
